50 Cent, First Pitch, Baba Booey
Move over, President Obama You’re off the hook, John Wall Rapper 50 Cent has now taken the top spot for worst first pitch thrown out at a baseball game of all time.
Cent practically took over the internet when he misfired—to say the least—when throwing the opening pitch at the Pittsburgh Pirates-New York Mets game at Citi Field on Tuesday. The rapper and entrepreneur, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, launched a left-handed looper that sailed nearly 25 feet from Mets catcher Anthony Recker. People are saying it's the worst throw in the history of opening pitches. But is it really? Do you remember John Wall's throw that he pelleted into the dirt or the legendary first pitch by Baba Booey? We found some of the worst first pitches ever. We'll let you decide who tops the list.
Seriously, that was as atrocious as it gets. He definitely needs a makeup pitch. Like tomorrow. If there was any lingering doubt about baseball's decline in the inner city, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson ended the debate Tuesday night at New York's Citi Field with the most pathetic excuse for a first pitch I've ever seen.
I think 50 Cent was trying to get on SportsCenter. Fuhgeddaboudit. Instead of 50 Cent, his new rapper name should be Wooden (Arm) Nickel. That cat in the video rescuing the kid from a dog attack in California tossed a better first pitch last week. Heck, even Baba Booey's infamous pitch in the same ballpark a few years ago wasn't nearly as awful. I mean, Jackson (I'm not calling him 50 or Fiddy) looks relatively athletic, but girls everywhere would be offended if I said he threw like a girl - and they'd be right to be upset. He looked like he'd never before throw a ball (any type of ball) in his life. Type your email address in the box and click the "create subscription" button.
