Jon was raised on the beliefs of integrity, loyalty and honesty. Despite killing Qhorin Halfhand and sleeping with Ygritte , Jon does not deny these crimes and remains loyal to the Night's Watch. Jon is shown to be one of the most capable and well versed warriors and military leaders in the history of The Night's Watch. Jon has a strong bond with his older brother Robb, to the point that when his brother Robb discusses the matter of his succession with his mother. Robb suggests that Jon Snow should succeed him, if he were to die (much to Catelyn chagrin), and intended to legitimize Jon, as a Stark and his heir. Appearances Image gallery
But the fight is far from over. There are one thousand Wildlings to one member of the Night’s Watch. Those are not very good odds. “Maybe we can hold them off for a day or two, but we’ll never beat them,” Jon Snow said. He did the only thing he could think of. He left Castle Black in search of Mance Rayder. Sam tried to stop him, but it was no use. Jon Snow said, “Who’s here to give orders?” And it’s really true. It looks like he’s in charge now.
It was all filmed in Belfast, split between a set and the studio—the studio being the top of the Wall, and the set being the Castle Black set, which we know quite well by now. It was two solid weeks of night shoots on-and-off for about a month, which puts your frame of mind into an emotional place anyway without doing scenes where you’re saying goodbye to actors you love. It was one of the most physically and mentally demanding things I’ve done in my life—for all of us, I think—but it really paid off. It felt like shooting a Game of Thrones movie within Game of Thrones , and Thrones is movie-like anyway, and quite cinematic. We all became very close during the time filming it.
