I think shows of celebrity stuff only work when you have a career to look back on. No one cares about a picture of Christina Ricci, they only care when it’s a photo of someone cool from 25 years ago with some sort of iconic value to it. I am, however, working on a series of nudes that will be in a show for Charlize Theron’s charity. There will be a show in LA and one in New York, and if it does well, maybe a book. All the money will go to her African AIDS charity. That’s more interesting to me.
Charlize went to Purfontein Primary School during her early years. She described those years of her life as a period of “not fitting in”. She was then sent to a boarding school when she was thirteen and studied in Johannesburg at the National School of the Arts. You can not wear shoes right after getting a foot tattoo. Bands are tough. Then there’s that rock band thing where they’re usually too cool to care if they look good anyway, so they don’t really even try.
