Jon Snow Knows There Should Be More Male Nudity On 'Game Of Thrones'
For a season that both cobbled together different pieces of George R.R. Martin ’s books as much as it diverged from them, ‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 has admirably attempted to shift from the norm by employing multiple climaxes over the course of the season, rather than build up toward the inevitable bloodbath of the year’s ninth episode, before course-correcting in the finale. “The Watchers on the Wall” may yet provide the clearest inclination for the change, as the hour itself largely carries through its hour-long battle with aplomb, but fails to recreate the stakes of seasons’ past, and ultimately justifies why season 4 needed a more even distribution for its climactic changes.
Ygritte has done her share of evil this season, but Rose Leslie sold the heartache and false bravado convincingly enough to keep a lukewarm place in our hearts. Her confrontation with Jon unfolded largely as most viewers probably expected it to — arrow poised but stymied by tender cave memories. Her end — especially delivered, as it was, by the orphaned Olly, another youngster being indoctrinated into a bloody way of life — was wrenching, and Ms. Leslie and Mr. Harington carried it off with aplomb. To the extent that any shades of gray have colored the conflict between the wildlings and those south of the Wall this season, Jon Snow and Ygritte’s star-crossed relationship has been the vehicle for it. And in her final moments, it was enough.

There was no forewarning that Walmart stores were going to be receiving the snow-covered Jon Snow POP! Vinyl figure at all, and Walmarts seemingly only got one shipment of the blink-and-you-missed-him Funko Beyond the Wall Jon Snow. I’m a pretty vigilant collector, and even I missed this Funko Jon Snow variant!
